I was 35 weeks along when I started looking for a doula. I knew I had little time, so I reached out to as many doulas as I could find. From my first conversation with Carolann, I knew I had found “the one.” I could tell right away how passionate and knowledgeable she was. I instantly felt comfortable with her, and I knew I was in good hands. In the weeks leading up to my labor, we had several meetings / conversations where I learned a lot from her, and gained the confidence I needed to be able to have the natural unmedicated birth I desired. Through my labor and delivery, she was my rock! She helped me stick with my goals, and she was prepared for anything! She was very aware when it came to the medical staff and helped in carrying out the wishes of my birth plan. She coached me through the toughest moments of my labor, using several comfort techniques, such as aromatherapy and massage. She was prepared with so much more, but I wasn’t even in the delivery room an hour before my baby arrived! It was a very quick and intense delivery, and I honestly feel that without Carolann present, I wouldn’t have been able to have the birth I wanted. From start to finish, the genuine care and support she showed blew me away! I would definitely recommend her without reservation. Thank you Carolann for all of your care and support!
